This Year, the Minnesota Whiskey Society Is Proud to Support the Autism Recovery Foundation

Autism Recovery Foundation raises funds to ensure that all Minnesota children diagnosed with autism have access to the therapy services they need. The Foundation currently supports three key areas:

  • Direct financial assistance to families

  • Scholarships and grants for individuals seeking BCBA/BCaBA certification

  • Strategic initiatives to raise public awareness and support for early intervention therapy

We will be raising money to support direct financial assistance to families through “Canteen Grants”. It is rare for any single source of funding to cover all the costs associated with autism therapy. While treatment expenses are often covered in part by private insurance and/or government programs such as Medical Assistance, families are typically left with a significant financial burden. Some must dip into retirement savings or take out second mortgages to continue their child’s care. Even with strong insurance coverage, many necessary items—such as equipment, adaptive tools, and supplies—are not covered. While a Canteen Grant may not alleviate the entire financial strain, even a small amount can help bridge the gap for families working tirelessly to support their children with autism.
